ON THE ISSUES

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS:

Biggs is pro-life and has stated that she will “use her voice and story to protect the sanctity of life and advance a true culture of life in this country.” [iii]

IMMIGRATION & BORDER SECURITY:

Biggs considers the border crisis “one of the most critical challenges facing our nation today.” As a member of Congress, she plans to work towards building a wall at the Southern border and replacing "catch-and-release” with “stop-and-deport.” [iv]

ECONOMY & JOBS:

Biggs has criticized the spending of the Biden administration, saying that she will fight for “fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency of our hard-earned tax dollars.” [v] She has accused the Biden Administration and “career politicians” of “excessive and wasteful spending” that has “not only fueled inflation but also greatly harmed our children, grandchildren, and future generations with unconscionable debt.”[vi] She has also promised to cut regulations and promote a pro-business environment. [vii]

TAXES:

Biggs has repeatedly promised to “protect our tax dollars” and lower taxes. [viii] [ix] In May 2024, Biggs signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge promising to never vote to raise taxes. [x]

CRIME & PUBLIC SAFETY:

Biggs campaigned on protecting the rule of law, saying in a statement, “I am honored to have the endorsements of many sheriffs, coroners, solicitors, police officers and leadership from all across the Third District. I’m grateful to have their back in my race for Congress, and I’ll have their back when in Congress to ensure they have the support they need to keep our communities safe…not defunded by the lawless left.” [xi]

CLIMATE CHANGE, ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT:

Biggs believes that supporting American energy independence is “crucial,” and has called for a reduction in foreign energy consumption. [xii]

FOREIGN POLICY:

In April 2024, Biggs criticized spending on foreign aid. She said in a Facebook post, “If the House’s vote today to give away $95 billion to other countries - while our border is wide open for illegals - doesn’t make you sick, the waving of Ukraine’s flag on the floor of the house definitely should. Today’s vote and conduct make me sick. Stop giving away money to other countries. Secure our border. Take care of our veterans. America First, not America Last.” [xiii] Biggs has stated that she stands with Israel. [xiv]

HEALTHCARE & SOCIAL SAFETY NET:

Biggs has noted her background as a nurse when discussing “inadequate policies” in healthcare. Her priorities include expanding mental health services, improving veterans' healthcare accessibility, and ensuring that rural areas of her district receive the same quality of care as urban centers. She also plans to focus on the healthcare needs of veterans. [xv]

DEMOCRACY:

Biggs has stated that she strongly believes in term limits for Congress and has signed the U.S. Term Limits Pledge. Biggs said in an Anderson Observer survey answer, “Implementing universal term limits for both parties and for the U.S. House and U.S. Senate would help reduce corruption, promote accountability, and ensure that representatives remain focused on serving their constituents rather than securing their political careers. It aligns with our conservative principles of limited government and checks on power.” [xvi]

SOCIAL ISSUES:

Biggs has criticized gender politics, stating in a Facebook post referring to the 2024 Olympics women’s boxing event, “This is what it looks like when liberals push their gender-confusion nonsense at its worst. Italian women’s boxer Angela Carini spent her life training to compete at highest levels. She succeeded and made it to the Olympics only to be forced to compete against an opponent who had previously failed gender eligibility tests with high levels of testosterone.” [xvii]
