On the Issues

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS:

Crane is “proudly and unflinchingly” pro-life.[vi] He called the US Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade a “groundbreaking victory for life” that would usher in a “new era of morality and human dignity.”[vii]

ECONOMY, JOBS & TAXES:

Crane believes inflation is “out of control” and that it is “unacceptable” that Congress “continues to spend money we don’t have.”[viii] [ix] He will work to lower taxes and cut regulations and support pro-growth, pro-job policies.[x] Crane opposed the Inflation Reduction Act.[xi] He has been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business.[xii]

HEALTHCARE & SOCIAL SAFETY NET:

Crane believes every citizen is entitled to the personal freedom to decide whether to get vaccinated or wear a mask.[xiii] He has also questioned the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine and will fight to ban federal funding for gain-of-function research.[xiv] [xv]

IMMIGRATION & BORDER SECURITY:

Crane has said he “absolutely loves” legal immigration but believes there is an “invasion” taking place at the southern border.[xvi] [xvii] He has called for increased security and a return to Trump-era border plans, including building the wall and the Remain-in-Mexico policy.[xviii] [xix] [xx] [xxi] [xxii] He has also suggested support for sending US troops to the border and opposes efforts to repeal Title 42.[xxiii] [xxiv] In Congress, he will work to stop human traffickers, drug dealers, and terrorists from entering the US.[xxv] He has been endorsed by the National Border Patrol Council.[xxvi]

CRIME & PUBLIC SAFETY:

Crane believes the US has a “two tiered justice system” that protects elites.[xxvii] He has said it is “imperative” now more than ever to “support and defend the heroes of Law Enforcement.”[xxviii] Notably, Crane has called the Democratic Party a “godless demonic party” due in part to its support for social justice and the “Defund the Police” movement.[xxix]

GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS & ELECTION SECURITY:

Crane believes that “without fair elections, our Republic cannot be saved.”[xxx] He is convinced that “Marxists, communists and socialists” have infiltrated every major institution in the country and has suggested that Democrats are a threat to democracy.[xxxi] [xxxii] [xxxiii] Crane doubts the legitimacy of Biden’s presidency and has called on the Arizona Legislature to decertify the 2020 election results.[xxxiv] He pledged to “fearlessly fight” for “clean elections” and against voter fraud.[xxxv] [xxxvi] He has called on Arizona to “reinstate” Election Day voting, eliminate early voting, clean up voter rolls, get rid of voting machines and return to hand counting, bolster polling sites, and end what he calls “unregulated mail-out balloting.” He also supports enacting stronger voter ID laws and stiffer penalties for anyone caught harvesting ballots or committing voter fraud.[xxxvii] [xxxviii] Crane advocates for term limits for members of Congress.[xxxix]

EDUCATION:

Crane believes children should be “educated, not indoctrinated” and opposes teaching Critical Race Theory, arguing it leads to “failure and division everywhere it’s allowed.”[xl] [xli]

CLIMATE CHANGE, ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT:

Crane wants the US to be energy independent and criticized the Biden administration for canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline.[xlii] In September 2020, he criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for saying climate change was to blame for California wildfires.[xliii]

BIG TECH & DATA PRIVACY:

Crane has pledged to “fight back against Big Tech’s rampant censorship of free speech.”[xliv] He accused Big Tech of interfering in the 2020 election and covering up the Hunter Biden laptop story.[xlv] Crane also accused the media and Big Tech of censoring information around COVID-19 that did not “align with the ‘approved narrative.’”[xlvi]

GUN SAFETY:

Crane supports Second Amendment rights and believes we will see more “overreaching tyranny” if they’re not protected.[xlvii] [xlviii] He claims that the mainstream media only covers stories that paint gun owners in a negative light and has been “dumbfounded” by those who call for “modifying or abolishing” gun rights.[xlix] [l] [li] He has accused the Left of politicizing and weaponizing school shootings and argues that more gun laws are “the wrong way to address school violence.”[lii] Crane opposes banning assault weapons.[liii] Notably, Crane and his wife founded a company that manufactures bottle openers in the shape of rifles, bullets, and other firearms-related shapes.[liv] He is also a brand ambassador for Sig Sauer, Inc. Crane has been endorsed by the NRA, which gave him an “A” rating in 2022.[lv]

FOREIGN POLICY:

Crane supports Ukrainian independence but argues the US should focus on taking care of Americans before providing financial assistance to Ukraine in its fights against Russia.[lvi] He called the $40 billion Ukraine aid package passed by Congress in May 2022 “reckless” and suggested the money should have been spent on securing the southern border.[lvii] Crane has said one of the things that made him want to run for office was President Biden’s alleged involvement in a business deal between his son and a Chinese energy conglomerate.[lviii] He believes the US has not done a good job of engaging with China over the last few decades.[lix]
